FROM SKETCHBOOK TO CANVAS :
DRAWING ON LOCATION & PAINTING IN THE STUDIO
Spaces Available: 4 Spaces available !
This exciting new course will guide students from the sketchbook study to the finished canvas. Beginning with drawing on location, students will gather information using a variety of drawing media : charcoal, ink, pencil/oil bar oil pastels and collage. After considering these sketches at home students will learn how to develop them into painted compositions in the studio using oils and/or acrylics. There will also be days in the studio with models, working on poses related to the theme.
Each of the locations are linked by the theme 'Performance' and students will be encouraged to explore the narrative and poetic potential of this theme. Slide presentations will look at how artists have worked with related ideas
